Tunesday Adds: The Beths, Chicano Batman & More

Every week, RPM updates Tunesday, our new global indie playlist. Check out this week’s adds below!

Last Friday was a big day for album releases, and that’s reflected in this week’s adds. Aussie indie darlings DMA’s and Lime Cordiale released their third and second studio albums respectively, and we’ve selected a favorite off each. We’ve also got new albums from Auckland-bred favorites The Beths, as well as Mike Skinner’s iconic UK garage project The Streets.

L.A. psycho-tropical funk rockers Chicano Batman feature this week with their song “Blank Slate,” which we’ve been loving lately. When it comes to funk, though, it’s hard to top Thundercat, an all time favorite of many in our team. The other American on our list this week is Brooklyn-based indie vets Dirty Projectors, who recently released their second of two EP’s this year.

Rounding out this week’s adds are French five-piece Black Bones, whose “Ghosts and Voices” album is one of 2020’s hidden gems; “Neela Akash,” the latest song from talented Darjeeling-born folk singer Bipul Chettri; and the tri-continental collaboration of Swiss-Uruguayan duo Sparrow & Barbosa remixing “Nterini,” a favorite track from Malienne singer Fatoumata Diawara. We hope you enjoy!
