Tunesday Adds: BLOXX, Haiku Hands & More

Every week, RPM updates Tunesday, our new global music playlist. Check out this week’s adds below!

The last week of July saw scores of great releases. Kicking us off is the debut single from L.A.-based multi-instrumentalist Zam, whose “Lucky” is a feel-good love song for the isolation age. Joining him is another L.A. artist, Katzù Oso, who just dropped his bilingual ’80s-tinged bedroom pop EP Colour.

Our favorite Malienne singer Fatoumata Diawara is back, this time on a collaboration with English twin DJ duo Disclosure. We’ve also got the new single from West London four piece BLOXX, a name that if you don’t know by now, you definitely will soon.

Moving to the Southern Hemisphere, New Zealand indie pop stalwarts The Naked and Famous just dropped a new album, as did Australian garage rock favorites Hockey Dad, and their fellow countrywoman, Melbourne songwriter extraordinaire E^ST. Her debut LP I’m Doing It is a masterclass in heartbreakingly relatable pop music. We’ve also got a collaboration between Sydney art pop icons Haiku Hands and American dance duo Sofi Tukker–two acts that went from sharing a bill on the Groovin’ the Moo festival lineup to touring and recording music together!

Lastly, we’ve got a new song from Venezuelan electronic musician José Hoek (a followup to his dual 2019 albums Ida and Vuelta)–and closing it out, there’s a soulful ballad from California Bay Area artist Samora Pinderhughes. Hope you enjoy!
