The Renaissance was a period of cultural and artistic rebirth out of a so-called “Dark Age.” Spawning from my ancestral homeland in Italy, it saw a renewed interest in the classic, a global-minded curiosity, and an embrace of all things human. It was, as scholars have put it, “an intellectual and artistic revolution.”
